The Law Library's Volunteer Program seeks to provide a capable and dependable voluntary work force to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Law Library and its special projects. Volunteers enable Law Library staff to provide the best possible service to local judges, attorneys, and the public.

Emphasis is placed on attracting the most qualified candidates and retaining them, thus optimizing staff time required for training, supervising, and assuring continuity of workflow.

The Volunteer Program is instrumental in linking a valuable community resource - the citizens - with a valuable community institution - the Douglas County Law Library - for the benefit, growth and enrichment of both.

The Volunteer Program exists to facilitate achievement of the mission of the Law Library through a mutually beneficial relationship.
